Sold-out products shouldn't take the best spots
Keep sold-out products from taking the top rows of your shop and category pages.
The problem
A shopper who clicks a product only to find it out of stock is likely to leave. When your top sellers sell out, they usually stay in the top rows, which pushes products people can actually buy further down the page.
Stock-Aware Auto Push, a free setting, shows sold-out products after everything you can sell. Your saved order doesn't change, so when a product is restocked it goes straight back to its place.
How to do it
Turn on the setting
Go to Rearrange Products → Settings and tick "Show out-of-stock products last" under Stock-Aware Auto Push. Tick "Also show backorders last" if backorders should move down too.
Override it per category
On Sort by Categories, each category can follow the main setting or turn it on or off for that category alone.
Leave the rest to stock changes
Your lists keep the saved order and mark sold-out products "Shown last". When something is restocked, it moves back to its place on the storefront without any re-sorting.
If WooCommerce is set to hide out-of-stock items, only backorders can move down. If you use page caching, shop pages can show the old order until the cache clears.

More use cases
Seasonal and holiday collections
Put the summer range, the gift picks or the sale items at the front for as long as the season lasts, then let the shop switch back on its own.
Best sellers and new arrivals first
Lead with the products that already sell, or with what just came in, so returning shoppers see something new.
Multilingual stores with WPML
Arrange your products once and every translated version of the shop follows the same order.
